This pattern was published by The Simplicity Pattern Company. It was originally described as "Women's Dress. Slenderizing lines are the keynote of this dress. A scalloped yoke is joined to blouse in an attractive outline. Skirt has eight sections and flares softly. Style 1 features three-quarter sleeves, gathered at top and lower edge. Style 2 has short sleeves, gathered at top and pleated at lower edge." Detailed illustrated directions. Pattern dated 1939.
Suggested fabrics: Canton crepe, flat crepe, moss crepe, crepe satin, printed silk, faille crepe, sheer wool, voile, lawn, cottons, novelty silks, triple sheers, and spun rayons. The colors were red, navy, laurel green, nuberry wine, teal blue, black, henna rust and burgundy.
