This pattern was published by The McCall Pattern Company. Originally the pattern was described as "Misses' Empire Dress, suitable for small women; straight skirt pleated or gathered; in two lengths." Detailed directions. Pattern dates circa 1920.
Suggested fabrics: Empire dresses were made of silk georgette crepe, silk charmeuse, and cotton voile. The colors were pearl gray, flesh, navy blue, black, taupe, orchid, Copenhagen blue, and reseda green.
