This pattern was published by The du-Barry Pattern Company. It was originally described as "Misses' and Women's Blouse Set. Two styles are included: one is the "Weskit" style with notched collar rolling to a single-breasted closing and finished with short shirred sleeves; the other style is fashioned with a tapering front panel cut with the peplum detail and accented by gathers. Blouse may be finished with long or short sleeves. A slide fastener may replace the buttons and loops." Detailed illustrated directions. Pattern dated 1940.
Suggested fabrics: Linen, checked cottons, bengaline, silk crepe, cotton, flat crepe, lame, crepe de chine, crepe satin, crepe romaine, novelty silks, and sheer velvet. The colors were red, navy, laurel green, nuberry wine, teal blue, black, henna rust and burgundy.
