Lined Cap

Pattern and illustrated instructions to stitch a lined cotton day or night cap with ruffled brim - a style originating in the early 1800's but continued to be used into the 1860's.  Drafted from an original cap which had a cotton flannel lining; hand amd machine stitching indicated where applicable.
