Lady's Pocket and Housewife

Deep pockets tie under the skirt to hold personal items. In the 1700's two were worn, one each side. In the 1800's only one was worn, under the skirt opening. Also included is a pattern for a Housewife. Gentlemen and Ladies carried a housewife when traveling. The housewife folls and ties into a tidy 3" x 5".
