Lady's Paletot c. 1860-1867 Research Pattern

The paletot pattern is based on an extant garment. The original garment does not have waist seams at all but, instead, has curved "princess seams" which loosely shape the garment. It also has coat style sleeves, two pockets and four buttons to close. The original is made from wool barathea, a tightly woven wool with a hopsack twill weave. It is also unlined.
