This pattern was published by The Butterick Pattern Company. Originally the pattern was described as "Ladies' and Misses' smock, suitable for house, office, garden or studio wear." Detailed illustrated directions. Pattern dates circa 1925-1926.
Suggested fabrics: Smocks were made of cotton prints, chintz, printed cotton broadcloth, printed silk or cotton pongee, printed cotton crepe, printed linen finished cottons, printed sateen, checked ginghams, silk or cotton broadcloth, crepe de chine, and chambray. The colors were navy blue, mahogany, black, brown, blue, bisque tan, French blue, powder blue, and light green.

This Vintage Revivals pattern is only one size; the original size. The pattern envelope, instructions and pattern pieces are unedited. The older the pattern the more likely it is to have limited instructions. This pattern is printed on blue line paper and packaged in plastic.
