This pattern was published by The Ladies Home Journal Pattern Company. Originally the pattern was described as "Ladies' and Misses' Step-in Combination, with opening at left side. Camisole style with shoulder straps. Front and back are slashed in from side edges and joined together." Detailed directions. Pattern dates circa 1928-1929.
Suggested fabrics: Step-in combinations were made of silk pongee, searslip cloth, glove silk, crepe de chine, rayon, tub silk, radium silk and mercerized jersey. The colors were flesh, white or tan.
