This pattern was published by The McCall Pattern Company. It was originally described as "Girls' Surplice Dress with Guimpe, with front closing, and having a two-piece skirt." Illustrated directions. Pattern dates circa 1908.
Suggested fabrics: Lawn, poplin, nainsook, linene, galatea cloth, and chambray. The colors were white, light blue, pink, tan, natural, navy blue, cadet blue, and scarlet.
Materials required: Dress: 3-1/2 Yds. 36" fabric. Guimpe: 1-3/4 Yds. 36" fabric.
This Vintage Revivals pattern is only one size; the original size. The pattern envelope, instructions and pattern pieces are unedited. The older the pattern the more likely it is to have limited instructions. This pattern is printed on blue line paper and packaged in plastic.
