This pattern was published by The Ladies' Home Journal Pattern Company. It was originally described as "Childs' Smocked Dress, plaited at each side of front and back, and attached to three-piece yoke in scalloped outline that closes at back. Short raglan sleeves shirred above the elbows." Written directions. Pattern dates circa 1929-1930.
Suggested fabrics: Chiffon, sheer crepe, marquisette, silk or cotton voile, rayons, celanese or bemberg, batiste, soft muslin, and cotton net. The colors were black, French beige, marron glace, navy blue, dark green, medium brown, Waikiki green, tan fancy, Nile green, and rose France.
Materials required: 1-5/8 Yds. 36" fabric.
