The lined and lightly boned front-closing bodice is gathered into a drop-shouldered yoke. The style, with the bodice and skirt attached to the same waistband, is called a 'round dress'. The PP702 undersleeve works well with this style of sleeve.
The original fabric is a printed cotton paisley in red and brown earth tones.
This pattern is multi-sized 10 through 20. All sizes require 5-3/4 Yds. of 45 inch wide fabric.

I ordered several antique clothing and bonnet patterns from Amazon Drygoods. In August I had purchased a handmade doll which is attired in 1840's clothing. I have engaged a dressmaker to make several new garments for the doll and I wanted to have suggestions for the new attire to be made up in fabrics suitable to the 1840's time frame. I will be using the bonnet patterns myself to make co-ordinating doll accessories and I will probably make additional undergarments. Nothing has been sewed yet but I was pleased with the availability of patterns and the ease of ordering what I needed.
