Pattern is multi-sized 8 through 26. This Edwardian petticoat is an old favorite. It was first published in 1982 and retired because the methods to create the pattern were those used before 1989. An assembly diagram, lace identification and seams and their uses, and fabric layouts have been included. The simple instructions are written and unillustrated.
While the Edwardian petticoat-skirt looks complicated, it is like most Edwardian clothing - extravagantly embellished. Under the lace and ribbon is a simple four-gored shape with a ruffle. The lace is placed on the fabric and the fabric behind the lace is cut away. It was mostly machine sewn.
