This pattern was published by The Ladies' Home Journal Pattern Company. It was originally described as "Childs' Coat and Hat. Front, back and sleeves cut in one piece, slashed in from shoulder edges to form yoke with lower slashed edges gathered to wristbands with turn-back cuffs. Hat with rolled brim at front and sides." Illustrated directions. Pattern dates circa 1929-1930.
Suggested fabrics: Kasha, cheviot, broadcloth, French flannel, twilled textures, corduroy, crepe de Chine, faille, bengaline, velvet, pique, English broadcloth, linen. The colors were rose, pink, topaz, pine green, lavender, white, carnelian, and powder blue.
Materials required: 2-1/4 Yds. 44" fabric.
